2. Information we collect

We collect name, email, mailing address, occupation, employer, payment data (via Stripe), IP address, device data, and legal attestation responses. See our Data Policy for comprehensive details.

3. How we use data

We use data to process donations, provide records to campaign operators, maintain compliance audit trails, send transactional emails, and improve platform performance.

4. Legal basis for processing

We process personal data based on contractual necessity (to process your donation), legal obligation (compliance record-keeping), and legitimate interest (platform security and fraud prevention).

5. Data sharing

We share data with campaign operators (their donors only), Stripe (payment processing), SendGrid (transactional emails), and legal authorities when required by law. We never sell donor data.

6. Third-party services

We use Stripe for payments, SendGrid for email, and privacy-respecting analytics. Each provider has their own privacy policies. We do not use advertising trackers.

7. Data retention

Donation records are retained for a minimum of 5 years. Deletion requests are subject to legal record-keeping obligations.

We use TLS encryption, AES-256 data-at-rest encryption, and immutable audit logging. See our Security page for details.

9. Your rights (CCPA)

California residents may request access to, deletion of, or information about their personal data. We do not sell personal information. Contact privacy@donateth.is to exercise your rights.

10. Children's privacy

DonateTh.is is intended for users 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Information may be processed in the United States or other countries where our service providers operate.
