1. About DonateTh.is

DonateTh.is is a product of LE 589X LLC, registered at 1401 21st St Ste R, Sacramento, CA 95811. DonateTh.is provides a technology platform that enables campaigns, organizations, and individuals to collect donations. We are not a political committee, treasurer, charity, or reporting authority.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to create or manage a donation page. By creating a page, you confirm you are authorized to collect funds on behalf of the campaign or organization you represent.

3. User responsibility

Users are solely responsible for compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local laws, including campaign finance laws, contribution limits, reporting requirements, and proper use of donated funds. See our Compliance Disclosure for details.

4. Payment processing

Payments are processed via Stripe. Funds are received directly by the user's connected Stripe account. DonateTh.is and LE 589X LLC do not hold or control funds at any point.

5. Fees

DonateTh.is charges a 3.95% processing fee on each contribution. This is the only fee charged. There are no monthly costs, setup fees, or hidden charges.

6. Acceptable use

Users must comply with our Acceptable Use Policy. Prohibited activities include fraud, misrepresentation, money laundering, and any use that violates applicable law.

7. Data collection

We collect donor information on behalf of platform users as required for compliance and record-keeping. See our Privacy Policy and Data Policy for details.

8. Intellectual property

You retain ownership of content you upload. By posting content, you grant DonateTh.is a non-exclusive license to display it on your donation page. The DonateTh.is name, logo, and platform are the property of LE 589X LLC.

9. Limitation of liability

DonateTh.is is provided “as is.” We are not liable for user compliance failures, reporting errors, misuse of funds, or payment processing issues handled by Stripe. Our total liability is limited to the platform fees collected in the 12 months preceding any claim.

10. Indemnification

Users agree to indemnify and hold DonateTh.is and LE 589X LLC harmless from claims arising from their use of the platform, fundraising activities, or failure to comply with applicable laws.

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, our Acceptable Use Policy, or pose legal risk to the platform.

12. Dispute resolution

Any disputes arising from these terms shall be resolved through binding arbitration in Sacramento County, California, except where prohibited by law. Both parties waive the right to a jury trial.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict of law principles.

14. Changes to terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or a notice on the platform. Continued use constitutes acceptance of updated terms.
